Trees are critical to the restoration of Virginia Beach's waterways.

Trees serve as enduring sentinels that protect and nurture our future. Beyond their vital roles of reducing flooding, protecting from erosion, keeping our waters clear, and providing habitat for wildlife, trees symbolize hope, growth, and continuity for future generations. Kenneth Grief Tree Fund is our commitment to a legacy that ensures our children and their children thrive in a greener, more vibrant Virginia Beach.

The Junior Virginia Beach Garden Club has taken a step forward by donating $3,000 to the Tree Fund. Now, we invite you to join us in this mission. By matching this donation, you're not just planting a tree; you're investing in a future with clean and healthy Virginia Beach waterways, homes protected from flooding, and air cooled and purified by the leaves of tomorrow.

We have planted over 2,000 trees in our city; however, that is not enough to combat our declining canopy. Today you can make a lasting gift. Invest in the Tree Fund, and, together, let's Plant for the Future.

The Kenneth Greif Tree Fund was started by Andrew and Barbara Fine after receiving an unexpected bequest from their close friend, Kenneth Greif. They choose to seed this fund by donating his bequest because they view planting trees as a living legacy and critical investment in our future.
