Living Shoreline Project (Day 4/4)

Build a Living Shoreline
Oyster castles have been installed and next step is to move sand and fill in the shoreline with sand. Volunteers needed to help load sand, move using wheelbarrows, and rake to fill in behind the oyster castles. This will lay the groundwork for native grass plantings.
Date: Saturday, July 19 (Day 4)
Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Great Neck; exact address will be emailed
Project Details: All tools and materials will be provided
Access/Parking: Parking on-site.
Additional Notes:
- Please wear closed toe shoes that can get wet, no crocs or sandals
- A hat and sunscreen are recommended and a reusable water bottle (we will have extra water there)
- Gloves will also be provided but if you have a pair you prefer feel free to bring those; all tools will be provided by LRNow
